Why This Matters
The Palmetto Hope Navigational Center was created in direct response to the rising cases of domestic violence, gun violence, and human trafficking in Charleston are surrounding areas. Many victims are left to navigate complex systems alone—without the resources, knowledge, or support needed to access safety and justice.
By providing coordinated, trauma-informed support, the Center reduces barriers to safety and promotes long-term recovery. Survivors with access to dedicated advocacy and care are more likely to:
- Cooperate with the legal system and hold offenders accountable.
- Receive financial compensation and counseling to support their recovery.
- Break cycles of violence, creating safer homes and communities.
